Our mission
Hope's Horizon is a youth-led initiative committed to supporting children and families affected by cancer. Our mission is to provide comfort and hope through thoughtfully prepared care kits filled with items that bring joy and encouragement during treatment. We also organize events and workshops to raise awareness about cancer and its impact, while fundraising to donate much-needed resources to hospitals and cancer support programs. We believe every child deserves to feel loved and supported throughout their cancer journey, and we work to make a positive difference in their lives and the community.
No child should have to face cancer feeling alone, and no family should go through it without support. That belief is at the heart of everything we do. ๐๏ธ

Meet the team
We are a group of young people united by one goal: to bring hope and support to children and families affected by cancer. Each of us takes on a role to keep Hope's Horizon running, but we all share the same passion for making a difference. ๐
Diya Rajkumar
Founder & President
Came up with the idea and started the nonprofit. I will lead the group by making major decisions and setting goals. I will oversee all projects, including care kits, bake sales, and social media. I also represent the nonprofit to the public, schools, donors, and businesses.
Jasmine Shi
Vice President
The Vice President supports the President and steps in when the President is unavailable. They help plan and organize events and projects. They share ideas and assist with problem-solving. The Vice President works closely with the team to keep everything running smoothly.
Sahaana Dhinakaran
Secretary
The Secretary keeps track of decisions, important dates, and who is responsible for which tasks. They organize paperwork, such as thank-you notes, donation lists, and project ideas. They help communicate updates through group chats or emails. The Secretary maintains records of past and future plans, even if informally.
Janya Sivakumar
Treasurer
The Treasurer manages all money donated, raised, or spent. They assist in planning budgets for care kits, events, and other expenses. The Treasurer works with the team to ensure donations are used responsibly. They prepare simple reports on fundraising and spending when needed.
Rithika Thirumurugan
Outreach Director
The Outreach Director builds relationships with community members, local businesses, and potential partners to support the nonprofit's goals. They lead efforts to raise awareness, recruit volunteers, and expand the nonprofit's network. This role plays a key part in connecting the organization with people who can help make its mission successful.
Tia Srikanth
Social Media Manager
The Social Media Manager runs the nonprofit's social media accounts and helps spread the word about its mission. They create and share posts, promote events and fundraisers, and engage with the community online to raise awareness and grow support.
